Fingers crossed that this is just a shaky start to what

corsets wholesale Image source: pichost.me No one does dramatic lingerie like Curvy Kate let alone dramatic lingerie up to a K cup which is still pretty much unheard of elsewhere. Whilst the Showgirl Range as we knew it is no more, but if the revival of the ultimate full bust classic Tease doesnt get you excited about life, I dont know what will.

Lingerie gifts have gone hand in hand with wholesale halloween costumes Valentines Day for as long as I can remember, as couples (and singletons for that matter!) indulge in the theatre of a sexy lingerie set.

Whereas Im all for adopting wholesale christmas costumes this on the daily if thats your bag, but I do still, admittedly, still love looking around at the collections that are released in the lead up to this time of year as companies target the gifting season. of Christmas and V-day.

I decided to indulge myself and put some of my top picks in a blog post, as my bank account is bare and Im unable to indulge in any other way. Its like the bloggers equivalent of bagging.

So what would I like to receive on the 14th of February this year?

Boux Avenue

If you want something which ticks all the quintessential Valentines Day Lingerie boxes, look no further than Boux Avenues Alexus. Its red, its black, its satin, its lacy, its sexy as hell and its very much that streotypical Valentines Day lingerie set. Not that theres anything wrong with that!

This style in particular goes up to a G cup (hooray!). Just make sure you stick the matching suspender belt and a pair of stockings in your shopping cart and youve nailed it.

Curvy Kate

I also need to direct your attention towards the bangin little number that is the Ritzy babydoll in black/poppy. Swit swoo.

Ewa Michalak

There are loads of more obvious choices for Valentines Day on the Ewa Michalak website at the moment, but I had to include the Biustonosz S Kamea/Biustonosz 3D Kamea as I adore the styling and more subtle look of it. Im loving the grape/lilac hybrid highlight shade and criss-cross detailing which lies over the black panels. Its a really stylish and sophisticated take on the Valentines Lingerie trend, with no predictable scarlet red in sight!

These bras also double up as glorious date night lingerie, as the cleavage really is something worth celebrating!

Tutti Rouge

Ive not tried any clashing overlay lace bras in quite a while, despite it being one of my all-time favourite trends. For this reason Elize by Tutti Rouge has been on my Lingerie I Love list for quite some time now. Its got a sweet and romantic feel to it, with the ribbon rose detail at the apex and flouncy lace skirt trimming around the bottom of the band.

Its another great example of a bra set which would be bang on for Valentines but bucks the trend of your typical red or black which seems to dominate at this time of year.

Grab a set from Tuttis Big Cartel store.

Parfait by Affinitas

Large Cup Lingerie, at least in my experience, have the best assortment of Parfait by Affinitas available online.

Its hard to ignore when an IIYC fave like the Charlotte comes out in a new colour-way, especially one as delicious as this seasons Icy Blue. It may not scream Valentines, but its getting me hot under the collar, thats for sure.

All Undone

All Undone are going to be on all my wishlists ever. Theyre drop dead gorgeous, but the design is really stunningly simple.

The price point is a little higher than Im accustomed to for everyday, and theyre definitely within the treat and splurge section of this list. That said, quality is packed in, with silk and French Chantilly Lace featuring in the design. Oh, and its manufactured in the UK! So, if you really want to treat yourself or your significant other, make All Undones website your first port of call. Maybe wait until payday, though.

Cleo by Panache

If youre on a bit of a budget but are still after something really lovely that doubles up as super-functional, look no further than Cleo by Panache. I adore the Marcie bra set, but theres something so wonderfully indulgent about a babydoll. It hides a multitude of sins and really flatters and will definitely turn heads. But dont worry, you can still very much wear this as an everyday piece.

You can actually pick this little number up in this very festive raspberry shade for a snip at £16 from Belle Lingerie.

Bluebella

I simply couldnt have made this lust list without including something from Bluebella. Whilst not really designed for the fuller bust, their designs just epitomise V-day frillies. They are just the right amount of theatrical, with that looks more expensive than it is quality to them. Theyre surprisingly affordable, with oodles of designer-inspired designs. If youre part of the go hard or go home club, then Im sure youd love to unwrap, or be unwrapped in, Bluebellas Tatiana.

the budget shapewear and Spanx Power Panties

long gown dress As somewhat of a shapewear novice, Im keen to see how these would compare up next to the budget shapewear and Spanx Power Panties that Ive tried thus far. Ive found both to hold in my problem areas of my tummy and thighs as promised, but some create problem areas of their own; VPL half way down the thigh is never a good look. Neither is a roll of fabric around the waist like a cylindrical sushi mat.

Whilst swimwear manufacturer you may be wondering what a lingerie blogger does on her 23rd (yes 23rd!) birthday, let me tell you. I went along to meet the princess of TVs body beautiful show How To Look Good Naked the one and only Gok Wan, at his press event in London. On my birthday a coincidence? I think not. He must have known

The event celebrated my birthday the release of costume manufacturer his latest shapewear collection his popular separates set to be tweaked, perfected and released in a pale baby pink (Blush), coral (Crush) and slate grey (Sweet Slate). The collection includes six key pieces: the Curve Controller body, Pull Me In control pants, Slicker Knicker, Sassy Slip, Divine Outline multi-way slip and his infamous banger booster bra; all set to mould and support a shapely silhouette and enhance your hips and curves in the process.

Whilst not usually a huge fan, (my inner black-wearing thirteen year old screams NO!) after reflection Im most keen to try their pink control knickers. A pretty (yuck!) pale pink which would do the job of a practical nude colour on me without that predictable off-ochre tone which is often too dark for my alabaster complexion. Always delighted to see a bit of gathering around the bum for a cheeky bit of body-con, it clings to every curve and looks oh-so pin up!

I have my fingers crossed for this collections shapewear thanks to the soft Powermesh fabric which has what can only be described as transition panels which seem custom built to avoid the dreaded VPL effect. All this with the intention to look good in the process? Is it too good to be true?

Well, potentially. The size range has been improved to a G cup a size which was apparently unavailable in shapewear until now. I struggled to find this impressive and its no mean feat when there are brands who do off the peg bras and body sets up to a K cup. The body and bra also begins at a 30 band which potentially leaves that part of the range redundant for 28 band ladies like me. Thankfully the team seemed keen to hear feedback about size requirements so hopefully these baby steps will be running over the next few seasons.

Gok was no diva as he politely and professionally engaged the room, introducing himself and offering refreshments to all. Bloggers and members of the press sat in a circular (very comfy) sofa which rotated like a glamorous magic roundabout.

The company was exemplary as I was joined by some of my favourite bloggers some familiar and new faces. I always enjoy being in a room of people who are as happy as I am to talk for hours about their knickers!

The press release said:

Seamless panelling, boning and Powermesh technology are employed to provide optimal comfort, effortless style and maximum control making this Goks best collection to date. Get some Gok in your wardrobe today and make it your secret under dress weapon!

With tones that promise to suit all skin tones, flattering shapes for curves and some promising junk-smoothing technology, Im keen to try the (non bra size) range for myself and Im dying to get our very own Miss Beckys G-Units in that Curve Controller body.

Even more so, however, Im keen to see where Gok takes his size ranges in future collections.

The advice from the call is instant and comprehensive

With Freyas halloween costumes outlet interactive Bra Doctors Facebook campaign having been launched recently, I thought there was no time like the present to satisfy my lingering desire to try Bravissimos call-in fitting service.

So, lingerie manufacturer china how does it compare?

Bravissimos website declares: Throw away underwear manufacturer china your tape measures! which is always a good sign. If you want a starting point the tape measure method can be useful but there is nothing mathematical or exact about it. There are no straight lines in nature and the tape measure method is so limited in accuracy, especially when teamed with the +4/5 method which it almost always is.

This is the first thing I am told by Bravissimos adviser. She tells me how it is inaccurate as it doesnt account for the differences in brand sizing as well as being almost completely useless. She says that Bravissimo dont believe in using tape measures. Hooray!

I put on an old, ill-fitting bra so as to really test the service. She took me through a series of tests to discover where my bra is working and where is it not working so well; tests which were clearly and thoroughly explained and were not at all difficult to carry out. She listened to my concerns and created a check list of problems to generate some fitting suggestions for me.

From my experience, I found the caller very pleasant, knowledgeable and eloquent; she was very understanding and seemed genuinely caring and interested in giving great advice just like the in-store fitters are. With the obvious barrier of not seeing you in person the fitting is not so thorough as an in-store fitting and should not be regarded as one, more-so I found the service great for really explaining what a good-fitting bra should look and feel like. The advisor was very clear, putting bra fitting in laymens terms without being patronising or condescending, and overall made the call feel like a informal yet informative chat. She used funny ways of explaining the process including: can you feel how tight the bra is under the arm pit? Just feel the tension like you are impersonating a monkey. Which was quite nice, the chattiness would really make someone feel at ease.

The advice from the call is instant and comprehensive, clear and surprisingly fun to do. If you have a little bit more time on your hands for a more thorough explanation of your personal bra fitting, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. Like Freyas Bra Doctors they do not measure up (excuse the pun) to a in-store fitting but certainly raise awareness and inform.
